Shenandoah MT'23

Caitlyn piedra
(she/her)
Caitlyn was born and raised in Miami, FL. Known for her kind, bubbly, and bright personality, she was drawn to the theatre at the ripe old age of 5 when she saw THE LION KING on Broadway. Determined to make her mark, she attended grades 6th through 12th at performing arts schools. During that time, she performed in numerous local theatre companies, beginning with her starring role as seaweed #4 on the left in THE LITTLE MERMAID, thereafter she went on to play roles such as Nina Rosario (IN THE HEIGHTS), Katherine Plumber (NEWSIES), and Heather Chandler (HEATHERS). Since graduating high school from New World School of the Arts, Caitlyn has been working towards her BFA in Musical Theatre at Shenandoah, where she is the Treasurer of Shenandoah’s MT Diversity Recruitment Team and an active member of Alpha Psi Omega Theatre Honor Society. Since attending, Caitlyn has played roles such as Jeannie (HAIR), Detective Case (A KILLER PARTY), and is now putting her sporty shoes on to play #14 in THE WOLVES. When she isn’t on the stage, you can find Caitlyn reading a book, spending time with her two dogs, cat, and five guinea pigs, rewatching When Harry Met Sally, or baking whatever recipe she saw on Buzzfeed’s Instagram that day. She feels that she has been truly blessed to be in the MT ‘23 graduating class, and cannot wait to see what the future holds for everyone!
