Carlyn was born and raised in Charlotte, NC.  The oldest of 4 girls, Carlyn is a natural leader who is known for being outgoing, outspoken, and open-hearted. She has loved musical theatre for as long as she can remember and she was lucky enough to study as a musical theatre major at Northwest School of the Arts from 8th-12th grade. Recent professional credits include THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY (Carolyn) and GREASE (Jan). She most recently had a blast playing #2 in the ShenCo spring play, The Wolves.  Carlyn is currently working towards her Master of Science in Performing Arts Leadership and Management through Shenandoah University (class of 2024). At Shenandoah, she is an admissions employee. As the Senior Assistant to the Head of First Year Admissions and Student Head of Musical Theatre Recruitment, she can be found on campus giving tours, coordinating MT audition days, running various social media accounts, and doing lots of spreadsheets.  She is also the President of Shenandoah's nationally recognized comedy improv troupe, The Loaf, and has a passion for all things comedy. Carlyn’s favorite things include: watching standup comedy specials, sparkly nail polish, embroidery, and her orange cat named Wesley.
