Cydney kutcipal
(they/them)
Cyd was born and raised in a little town in Colorado called, Loveland, where they first found their love for theatre. Cyd grew up doing competition dance during the school year and during the off season, they would participate in community theatre to pass the time. When they got to high school, they realized that musical theatre was their passion and hasn’t looked back. Cyd likes to break the mold with who they are on and off the stage and wants to help foster a community that subverts the “industry’s” expectations. Cyd recently has been on the First National Tour of JAGGED LITTLE PILL as the ensemble cover for the role of Jo. They have been so grateful to get to work with such a queer cast and crew that has encouraged them to be themself as they step into the professional world as a trans actor. Cyd’s other credits include A CHORUS LINE (Bebe), DRACULA (Renfield), HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL, GODSPELL, and the collegiate premiere of SOMETHING ROTTEN. Outside of theatre, Cyd loves crocheting, reading, cats, and being an old person apparently! On top of this Cyd has a passion for trans and queer media, how it has shifted over the years, and what they can do to help bring better representation to the public eye. Cyd could not have asked for a better class to grow and change with. They are forever grateful to these beautiful people and can’t wait to graduate and work professionally alongside them.
