Alright, let’s do this. Originally from Yorba Linda, California, Matt Kontur grew up loving anything and everything theatre and that has led him right here to Shenandoah University. If you were recently in the Winchester area, you might have seen him as Roger in RENT or Adam in THE APPLE TREE. Or if you’ve stopped by SoCal, you could have seen him as Tony in WEST SIDE STORY at Rialto Playhouse this past summer. Currently, he is in post-production on his short film, Found, written and directed by himself. Outside of the arts, Matt is on a quest to visit every U.S. National Park (currently the count is at 8/63. Almost there.) and is an avid horror fan. You can catch him reading his horror short story collection or watching any horror movie he can grab a hold of. He is so grateful for his time at Shenandoah and is excited to see what post-grad has in store!
